Spring 2014 Update

Spring Update

The planning for Activities in 2014 is well underway. Our AGM will be held on July 12th, 2014 at the church in Point Comfort and will have some very interesting speakers. The Golf Tournament will be held on July 11th, 2014 and we have been promised excellent weather. Further details will be provided for both events, so stay tuned.

Last November’s municipal election resulted in what could only be described as a surprise.   Johanne Poulin, a new candidate who recently moved to Gracefield, was elected. We have established a good working relationship with Mayor Poulin and look forward to seeing some interesting changes on the municipal political scene. Further details will be forthcoming in a future communication from the FLP.

After many years James Annis has decided to step down as president of the FLP. James will still be involved on the FLP board as a director. We thank James for all his hard work. John Stephenson has agreed to coordinate the board’s activities as interim president.

The FLP has a new website!

Your board has been busy this winter getting ready for 2014. One of the changes we have made this year is a make-over of our website. As before, you can find us at http://www.pemich.ca and you will immediately notice the new look. Besides a general update, there are some specific improvements that have been made:

  • Improved menus and navigation to make it easier to find what you are looking for
  • The Newsletter archive has been organized to make it easier to find specific publications
  • You can pay your membership on line securely and easily
  • Easy switching between the French and English versions of the website

Please visit the site when you have a minute and find out what is going on with your lake. You can also use the site to send your comments and suggestions regarding our lake, the FLP Board of Directors, and the website itself…we are happy to receive them. Alternatively, you can communicate with John Stephenson directly at [email protected]
